It was an action packed session at the recent partners meeting in Bilbao, Spain with perfect weather for the northern partners, which includes myself, as we often suffer with the high temperatures in Spain. The meetings took place in September 2015 for 3 days.
The partners met for 3 days to discuss the progression of the project, with presentations covering the following topics:
- Monitoring of the demo sites,
- Retrofitting methods,
- Technological solutions,
- Training techniques and methods
- Exploitation approaches.
A site visit to the Kubic Building allowed the partners to view two of the prototypes which are presently being tested.
We were given the opportunity to review the lighting prototype at the Kubic Building in Tecnalia and although the day was partly clouded a good amount of light was still achievable inside the test centre. Read more about the LIGHTING.
We were also given the opportunity to see how the envelope was being developed with testing being carried out also at the Kubic Building. The thermal performance (U-values) through the wall are being tested to establish the possible energy savings for a building. Read all about the ENVELOPE
All the technological solutions are now well underway with many of the prototypes tested and available to inspect by all the partners.
An exploitation seminar was carried out for Day 3 with the assistance of the expert Dario Mazzella. The partners were taken through exploitation exercises, including an exercise based on dragons den These assisted with the development of the exploitation strategies for the Project. The partners were divided into groups and each group developed an exploitation strategy relevant to their field of expertise.
All in all a really enjoyable and constructive meeting.
Thanks to Eneritz and Amaia for organising this and to our special guest Dario for an insightful and interesting approach to exploitation techniques.
