Ankara, Turkey 2014

The recent Partners Meeting was be held in Ankara, Turkey on 16th-17th  September 2014 and was a great success. The Partners from the A2PBEER project presented and discussed their progress within the project. This involved 40 partners congregating in Ankara at the Gordion Hotel for a 2 day conference including a site visit  to the Aflivadem School just outside Ankara with a tour of the building and meeting the students on site.

The first day provided a technical review of the main results of the project. The Advisory Board (AB) were invited to attend the first day focussing on the review of the some deliverables/technical outputs of the first year.

We would like to extend a special thank you to the members from the Europeon Advisory Board (AB) who consisted of  Members from the ESHA, Europeon School Heads Association, CEDODHAS, Housing Europe, The Federation of public, cooperative and social housing, and the Boligbygg Public Building Company owned by the City of Oslo who attended the conference and contributed greatly to the project. The inputs of the AB will be especially useful for the implementation of the methodology in a tool and for the replicability of the methodology and technical developments.

The second day of the meeting was focused on the management issues. A site visit was also organised to the demonstration site, Aflivadem school just outside Ankara. Informal discussions were held between the partners after a well orgnaised tour around the library, lecture theatre and the dormatories.

A huge thank you should also be directed to MoNe especially Baris, who organised the transportation between the Demo Site and the hotel and provided great hospitality and assistance and of course to Aflivadem for their hospitality at the school.

The project is well underway, with prototypes of the technologies being finalised, all the demonstration sites have monitoring equipment installed and the training and exploitation aspects of the project have commenced.
